OUR CO2e FOOTPRINT

IF WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT WE PRODUCE, WE ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT IS WASTED.

WE ARE BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE FASHION BRAND

As consumers become more aware of the environmental impact of their purchases, sustainable fashion has become a hot topic in the industry. At MUSH, we have made it our mission to create sustainable clothing, with the goal of reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future.

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, with the production of textiles accounting for 10% of global carbon emissions. That's why we have taken a holistic approach to sustainability, addressing every phase of our production process, from farming to giving our shirts a second life through upcycling.

Our shirts are crafted using sustainable production methods, including block printing and hand-made techniques, which help to minimize our environmental impact. Our limited edition collections are designed to reduce waste and promote ethical manufacturing. Additionally, our production processes are free from toxic chemicals, ensuring that our garments are safe for both you and the environment. By using less water than conventional industrial methods, we're committed to conserving natural resources and reducing our carbon footprint.

The block printing method not only reduces our carbon footprint but also ensures that our shirts are unique and of high quality. By creating limited editions, we are able to reduce waste and overproduction, which are major contributors to the fashion industry's carbon footprint.

We firmly believe that if we are responsible for what we produce, we are also responsible for what is wasted. We also believe that people's choices have a significant impact on the environment.

By choosing sustainable fashion, consumers can make a positive impact on the planet. As a company, we are committed to raising awareness about the importance of sustainable fashion and the impact it can have on the environment.

So, how much of an impact does this really have on our carbon footprint?

The carbon footprint of a standard shirt is approximately 6.75 kg CO2e, but our shirts have a significantly lower carbon footprint of only 4.57 kg CO2e.

This reduction is due to our use of sustainable production methods, the use of non-plastic and only natural fibers, but also upcycling initiatives.

In conclusion, our company is dedicated to creating sustainable clothing. While we are still working on making our farming phase more sustainable, we have made significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint through sustainable production methods and upcycling initiatives. The UPC’s INTEXTER has carried out an extensive bibliographic review of existing studies on how much CO2 is saved by reusing clothing. It has been concluded that reusing 1 kg of clothing saves 25 kg of CO2.

Also, we are creating something called the Real Slow Fashion movement, where we can all make a positive impact on the environment and create a more sustainable future by only producing what is consumed because we believe good things take time. We invite you to learn more about the Real Slow Fashion Movement on our community page and join us in making a difference in the world of fashion. Together, we can create a brighter future for the planet and for generations to come.
